How to control your troops
when in a battle i cant seem to be able to tell my troops to charge or anything they just hold their ground and stay there for the rest of the battle in fact i almost lost a battle because of this can someone help me?

It's some troop formation mod that basically makes your troops retarded. Sometimes it just out right breaks. I forget how to fix it, but there's your reason why.

That troop formation mod is actually pretty cool, if only it didn't make troops lose their frontal lobe. I'd try going into the camp menu and look around "mod options" or somewhere to see if you can disable it.

so i fixed the issue with troops not responding. its a problem with the formation they start in so press 0, f4 for formations, f8 for no foprmation. and the troops immediately become responsive 100% of the time. devs u may want to have troops start without a formation to prevent this problem, it also means enemy troops tend to be in the same tight square every time, or atleast from what iv seen

i found an easier way of doing it were you press 1 to control infantry 2 to control archers and 3 to control cavalry and you can control them from that
