This mod seems to break technology upgrade path
Apparently I can start a conversation on a game I dont own via steam but I can start a conversation.

This mod removes the option to research tech lvl 2 from my core menu. If I strip out all mods but this I still dont have the option. The sandbox version of this mod adds a single research that opens all dummies to 100 (not desired by me) and doesnt remmove the tech lvl upgrade option. When I remove this mod the option comes back. I teched up to lvl 3 without this mod, added this mod and imported and it was still broken. I did find a blueprint in the hubs bar for 'blueprints' with nothing listed as being gained when i reicght clicked it and when i checke dthe research bench after grabbing the blueprint i still couldnt see training options or the tech level upgrade.

I downloaded your mods on skymods because getting mods off of steam for GOG versions is impossible when steam/the developer block workshop downloaders.

If I have to go without a mod that just makes me even more determined not to buy games through steam, ever. Id rather pay someone direct (or more directly) like mojang. Maybe if Steam opens up a bit ill relax and let them have some of my cash.

Anyway this is a bug report for the version downloaded from skymods on 26/03.

Repeat sandbox version does not do this.

mh i simply cannot reproduce/ understand - the tech never disappears for me and the mod does not modify any existing techs (only thing vanilla it changes is the vendor who sells the blueprint and that you can upgrade the old training dummies to the added ones) - i dont know if the skymods version is different.

Btw. I think steam early access with many people playing the betas and reporting bugs is a help for indi games like kenshi to actually get realized.

SO: i can see no direct reason for your error, maybe something obscure is interfering, maybe try a fresh installation of both, otherwise im out of ideas

Thanks for the reply, as I said ive been working around itby using the sandbox version of your mod. I had cut my mods down to nearly just this one so meh. My problem. I havent but could try a fresh install, i have had some other oddities that make me wonder if adding a mod and removing a mod does permanently change my game files.

I hear you about steam, it is an amazing platform, but the workshop is a pain for mods and I dont entirely trust steam even if their track record is good. I'm almost disappointed when a game like kenshi goes more through steam than anything else but I accept the clear benefits.

Again, thanks for the reply.
