Saving stuck on vehicles step. (Overthrow Altis)
A friend and i have been playing on Altis with me hosting the server, when we went to save our progress after a fight in Kore where we killed 20ish NATO troops (plus Cops) which we could not get looting, the game got stuck on step 5 (saving vehicles).

Does anyone know what could have caused this?
Do bodies end up counting as cargo/storage containers and could that have messed with the vehicle saving step?
Or was it just a freak saving bug that just happened to hit us at that point?

I have run into the same issue but on Tanoa, have you found a fix?

It just takes a very, very long time depending on how long the play session has been up for and how fast your PC is. I've been stuck on that saving step for upwards of 10 minutes before on Malden, it passes eventually so go make yourself a coffee or something when it gets stuck.

Unfortunately no.

I left it sitting for just over an hour but it was still on that step so we decided to start over fresh.

Been keeping the map very clean since, removing all bodies after looting, keeping Civ pop at 5% and saving frequently seems to be working so far.

Well waiting is what worked for me, dunno though since that problem seems to have stopped for me. Sorry I couldn't have been any help.

Glad for the replies, thanks for the help.

I think the problem was that i had left it for quite a few hours inbetween saves.

A friend and I play on our own dedicated server. We ran into this problem and did a bunch of trouble shooting. The conclusion that we came to was that if we armed an offroad at our workshop, that would cause the persistent save to hang indefinitely at the saving vehicles step. We enacted a strict policy of no technicals. Never had the issue after that.

I have tested, admins are aware. If you have HMG mounted trucks... that will prevent a save. I have left my game saving for over 24 hours. It's a bug, as of right now.
