First of all - this mod is awesome and I had no technical issues at all.

During my last try I went for the "mediterranean socialist republic" national focus straight after the war. Since Italy seemed way to powerful for me, I claimed and conquered Greece. Unfortunately, Romania guarantees the independence of Greece and there is no way to conquer Romania before they join the Axis and call Germany and Italy. I even tryed attacking Turkey nearly simultaneously with greece to gain access to the Bosporus - whatever I try, Romania always teams up with the Axis before I can harm them.

Is there any way you can actually expand with the mediterranean socialist republic without being crushed by the Axis? Am I getting something totally wrong?

I also tried to attack Italy instead of Greece, but their powerful Navy crushed my divisions before they touched ground.
