Star Wars: A Galaxy Divided
Gee Twi'lek, how come your mom lets you have two Ryloths?
So this mod is spectacular and I love playing it, but something strange I've noticed is that some planets seem to duplicate, complete with their native species. The most notable case of this I've seen (As the thread title indicates) is that the Ryloth system and the Twi'lek species spawned twice, one neighboring Sith territory and the other on the opposite side of Hutt space. They both spawned Twi'lek (Which the species list marked as separate races) and had identical surface tiles but the two races governments were different and they had different personalities, ethos and their star systems had a different set of planets from each other.

In reality, this kind of made the game more fascinating because the two Twi'lek civilizations absolutely hated each other, but still, I found it bizarre. One definitely wasn't a colony of the other since they both had 'Ryloth' as a home planet and I've seen other systems duplicate, this one's just notable for having an empire in it. Is there any reason some systems and races duplicate like that or any way to stop it from happening?

Interesting, haven't seen this before. No idea how to duplicate that. Perhaps you had a custom empire with the Twi'leks?

Nope. Although I suppose it could have been that one of the Twi'lek empires made a colony before I encountered them on a planet very similar to their homeworld and for some reason the new colony was named 'Ryloth'? I dunno, that's probably a stretch, haha. The next time I play I'll see if I can get a screenshot of it, although I think the one near the Sith was conquered.

The title of this bug report sounds like some sort of bar joke.
I named it after a meme, I thought I was clever :P

In my recent game there was suddenly a Sol star system with Earth and a human faction from Earth. (in the upper left part of the galaxy map). Should not be in the star wars galaxy.

Random species "can" still pop up no matter the mod...so it's not exactly a glitch moreso really bad luck on your part.

ah okay. I see. too bad things like this can happen.

It would be nice if there was a way to alter the rules of the game.

But I guess it keeps things interesting...I personally haven't had that happen to me yet...unless you count my empire, which is custom made and thankfully spawned in a mostly empty part of the Star Wars galaxy :p
