@MajorAsshole Multiplayer - High chance to crash, Singleplayer make sure you have all mods downloaded by resubscribing. Steam workshop doesn't tend to install everything at the same time. If that doesn't fix your issue what race are you using, a custom one? If a custom one, some appeareance choices within the modlist such as the Empire ships (without all its pre-requisites) can cause a crash.
Short: Deinstal the "AlphaMod"
I really hope it helps you out ;D
The game launches, but once it hits 100% on the loading screen it just dissapears. I am not sure what could cause this. It seems however that once I launch the game without the galaxy divided: galactic empire mod it launches properly but without some of the mods.
I think, after some experimenting, it's due to the fact that the galaxy divided: galactic empire mod runs on 1.7.x of the game and since the devs rolled back 1.7 to 1.6 due to some issues with the patch the mod crashes it as the 1.6 patch cannot handle 1.7 based content.
Normally even if the mod isn't kept up with it will still run on later patches due to the stellaris devs being pretty good with backwards compatibility, but there simply is no such thing as fowards compatibility.
So basically I think we have to wait until 1.7 is re-released.
I've played mods that were meant for 1.7 whilst using 1.6.2 and they worked fine
- Downgrade to 1.7.4_beta (via Steam Properties ->Betas)
- Suscribe to Star Wars: A Galaxy Divided Suggested Package
- Unsuscribe from ISBS: Doomsday Weapons & Ships mod.
- Unsuscribe from UI Overhaul 1080p mod.
This worked for me, thank you!
I don't like rushing mod developers, and thank you for all the work on this one mr Leviathan, but I'm hoping this mod gets updated to a stable 1.8 state and in working condition with all its suggested mods soon.
