North Korea maybe? North Korean economy and politics is not in a great shape, corruption was rampant, its economy struggle and people starves. North Korea also have a much more powerful neighbor to its south and north which will crush them.

North Korean military is in the drive for modernization, so a line of national focus revolves around the modernization of the KPA to compete with the south separating into five lines representing each branches(Army, Navy, Air Force, Strategic Missile Force, Special Operation Forces) might be plausible. North Korea should also have choice to centralize power to the Kim and the old guard(End in a solidified control of North Korea under Kim), do the Chinese styled economic reforms(Ending with the end of the Kim dynasty) and cooperate with South Korea(ending in a Korean reunification).


Another line should be about North Korea's foreign policy and ambition. Separated into four lines
-Strengthen friendship with the East(China and Russia)
-Befriend old enemies(South Korea, Japan, US)
-Stands alone(North Korea)

And like every other nation, economic and military factory buildup also should be added. North Korea AFAIK, have Sinujiu Special Economic area near its border with China, its eastern port like Wonsan and Najin are also known for its fishing and shipping industry. "Develop Sinujiu", "Develop Wonsan" and "Develop Pyongyang" and all three ends up in gaining national spirits "Chollimna" giving it economic bonus. Its military industry is massive but outdated, mostly based in central of North Korea. National focus "Modernize the People's factory" should be done, then split to the three major location of NK arms factory(Koksan, Najin and Pyongyang.) and they ended in gaining national spirits "Modernized factory" giving higher production capacity and harder to bomb.

India maybe, they hate China so you could have some anti-chinese focuses and anti-pakistan focuses for India, PLUS India is actually at "war" with China as they have border skirmishes a few times a year. India is also a member of BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa), which is basically a trade union for those countries, and India is a close ally of Russia so you could also have some pro-Russian things maybe or have their tech be Russian maybe. Forgot, how about Cuba or Ukraine? Also as a sidenote, if you want, I could write the focus descriptions for you, don't know the coding for the focus tree though personally so either i would need to learn or just do the descriptions.

Actually, Democratic Socialism is the exact combination of Democracy and Socialism-Communism can't go with Democracy because there should be a single group or individual to control the entire economy. I guess you mean the Democratic Socialism in this case, which is already in the game.

I don't want to start a political debate here but most Socialist states are Marxist-Leninist and usually have a De Jure Democracy. But stuff like what is shown in the game (Stalinism) is very undemocratic and is as forementioned, De Jure.
