Have you installed the latest update and done a dino wipe to clear out the excess? That should sort it.
Less Fu 15 Oct, 2016 @ 10:54pm
Yea I'm seeing same issue on my server, wiping dinos doesn't stop it. looks like hundreds of Dimetrodons.
Kraken:1  [developer] 16 Oct, 2016 @ 6:45am
Damn those Dimetrodons, damn them all to hell XD Cooking an update right now that should make them behave once and for all!

Well it seems like my topic is already being discussed!

I have seen literally hundreds of dimetrodons in the dunes! But I have also noticed 7 titanosaurs and at least 5 alpha Carno. I actually went in and reduced the spawn numbers to .5 or .2. Haven't done a Dino wipe to see if that affected it.

I absolutely love this mod. Y'all know why so many buggers are spawning?

Also, was not including the direbear intentional? I feel like they would fit in very nicely ... every other furry fighter from the original got in. I never understood why devs left them out to begin with.

Hey Han, is this on single player or server?

Direbear is now available, added it in a recent update.

Single player for me. I also did a dino wipe and my game has been incredibly laggy for hours. Even taking your mod off and wiping dino doesnt help, so I think something else may be the problem. Ironically, my game didn't start lagging till AFTER I did a dino wipe. Strange... I had 7 titans, hundreds of dimetrodons, and a dino wipe is what killed it ;)

I just saw the added items! Thanks a million, that is excellent!

Yeah thought as much, single player is notorious for over spawning things even without mods, something to do with it not being treated exactly the same as a server so some of the checks and balances don't get carried out properly and you end up with a dozen gigas on every mountain! Your game probably will lag for a bit after dino wiping as the world then repopulates which can take a bit of time.
Han Swolo 17 Oct, 2016 @ 6:22pm
I think I got it working right again. Took your mod out, wiped wild dinos again. Played for a bit till it balanced itself out, then put your mod back in with some slightly adjusted rates. Titans and gigas everywhere is not what I wanted lol. 2-4 spinos at every pond ... it was crazy.

Fantastic mod BTW. Thank you for all the awesome work. Its perfect for SE!

Everything looks fine except for Quetzals. . .

Before I had overpopulation of Quetzals like a BILLION Quetzals!

Then I updated mod and now there seem to be no Quetzals spawning even though I have the numbers pumped up to 2 which should mean there should be around 8 on the map max.
BBking 19 Oct, 2016 @ 10:50pm
Might be a silly question! but ever since i got this mod! i got alot of compliments on my server. However like people her the Quetzal spawns 1 time a day assumably. and all Rexes. Both normal or Alpha arent spawning anymore ever since we have the mod.

You got any idea how? since they arent part of your mod. The rex that is!
Kraken:1  [developer] 20 Oct, 2016 @ 6:28am
@Blake Jace, sorry bud, only just seen this, are you still having Quetzal issues or have they sorted themselves out?

@BBKing, not sure if I understand what you mean. Rex spawns aren't touched by this mod, and the Alpha Rex's it introduces will be very rare, you may only have one or 2 on the map at any given time. I'd suggest checking to see if another mod is affecting them, and to make sure that you don't have any of the earlier versions of A.D.D. or any any other mods that add new dinos installed.

No problem Daemon,

The situation seems to be okay now I guess, I have my settings on the GUS.ini at

Quetz=1.5

So it should be 2-6 Quetzals I suppose at a given time, correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm seeing 2 Quetzals atm. . . though before the update there was a billion of them.

I also have

DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers=(DinoNameTag=Quetz,SpawnWeightMultiplier=50.0,OverrideSpawnLimitPercentage=true,SpawnLimitPercentage=0.5)

On my Game.ini . . . though I don't know if that affects the mod or not.
Kraken:1  [developer] 20 Oct, 2016 @ 8:22am
Hmm, should be at least 4. There's four spawn areas and each one should be guarateed to have a Quetz at all times. I think your line in your game ini might be affecting it, the Spawn weight mulitplier won't have any effect as the weight is already at 1 (100% and therefore guaranteed spawn) but then your spawn limit percentage I think would knock the chance of something spawning in half. The way my Ini line works is to adjust something called the Desired number of enemies multiplier. With the Quetz zones that's set to 1 and 1 for minimum and maximum, so changing it to 1.5 probably won't have an effect as it will put it to 1.5 as min and max, and you can't have half a Quetz. Bumping it to 2.0 should force 2 Quetz's into each zone, and then with your Game.Ini line you'd have a 50% chance of a Quetz spawning at every count, so it 'should' mean that you'd have anything from 0-8 at any given time. Theoretically anyway XD
