What really happened to Teen Titans (2003-2006)?!
I am a massive Teen Titans fan and yes the GO! show is indeed to me, a disastor in my opinion.

So what really happened to the 2003-2006 and why did it suddenly disappear after all these years without WB notifiying us back then? Well am about to explain it to you.

As we all know. Teen Titans become one of the most successful DC animated shows nearly 10-13 years ago. It was focused on a teenager team led by Batman's sidekick Robin, with his other friends Cyborg, Raven, Starfire, Beast Boy. As the show goes on they developed there friendship, story focusing and meeting other "metahumans" (other Titans) like Aqualad, Speedy, Bumblebee and Terra.

Teen Titans had 5 seasons which lasted between 2003-2006 and 1 movie that released in 2007. All 5 seasons were focused on a specific character which is listed below and a bit of a synopsis about them.

Season 1 - Robin - Season 1 was focusing on the humor side and also introducing the Titans and developing the 5 relationships as they try and solve the case of an unknown enemy turning out to be the legendary and mercenary Deathstroke AKA. Slade Wilson.

Season 2 - Terra - In Season 2, 1,2,3,4,5, 6!?, yes a sixth Titan joined and yes that is Terra, the rock o roll herself. In this season when we was younger, this season taught me to be careful who you trust. During Season 2 of Teen Titans, the show was getting darker and not lighter. This is because there were a lot of teenager viewers viewing the show and creaters Glen Murakami and David Slack decided to go for a balanced/darker tone for the Titans from Season 2 finale to onwards. The season also marked the final appearence of Terra and Deathstroke till later. Will explain.

Season 3 - Cyborg - This is the turning point of the Titans and this is where... to me they have to get on well. However this focuses on another tough enemy called Brother Blood who basiclly wants to enslave the Titans with mindcontrol however Cyborg and the Titans teamup to stop him and we also take a look if Cyborg can cope with his half-human, half machine, We also see some Beast Boy and Raven relationship in the episodes, we finally also see a future glimpse of the Titans, some of the stuff in that episode was from TDK Returns.

Season 4 - Raven - Season 4 is to me the best season along with Season 2. It focuses on my favorite character RAVEN! Yay. This is obviously focusing on comic stuff instead of making it original. This was based on the comic "Terror Of Trigon" and Raven must face her deadly destiny which is to destroy the Earth. This was originally going to be the FINAL SEASON OF TEEN TITANS however due to popularity and how loved it was, it was renewed for a fifth season, sadly helmswriter for TT DAVID SLACK quit Teen Titans after the fourth season. This season also marked the reappearence of Slade Wilson as he gets ressurected by Trigon.

Season 5 - Beast Boy - To be honest, Beast Boy and Raven are my favorite 2 characters but to be honest Season 5 is where it all fell apart for me. It just wasn't as good as the 4 seasons. Season 5 focuses on Beast Boy's story on how his life was with the Doom Patrol and the Titans recruiting other Metahumans across the globe to tackle the Brotherhood Of Evil. This season was just a no go for me and it wasn't the season I would watch again, I only liked 2 episodes in it which was GO! (Prequel on how the TT formed) and Things Change (The "Not so ending to TT"), other then that it was just poorly written in my point of view.
This marks the reappearence of a "Lost Terra" who was last seen in Season 2. 1 year later it spawned a TV movie, I don't even want to talk about.

So why was Teen Titans cancelled It had loved fans to it and was regarded as one of the best animated shows in the 2000s? Well am about to tell you however there could be many reasons why it was cancelled, CAN ALL PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND.

From where I gather. Appearently the reason why Teen Titans was cancelled because of these specific reasons.

1. Season 6's plot was appearently terriblely written and WB despiced the plot, Will Weaton who voiced Aqualad confirmed this that he said Season 6 production wasn't going great at all.

2. It was attracting female viewers!? Yes I know. Sexist and a dumbest response ever from WB. But in all fairness Superhero shows were different back then. it was only directed to males. Companies expected girls to buy girl stuff like Barbie etc.

3. Warner Bros. confirmed it wanted to start new animated shows and not keep old ones running.

Thoses are some reasons but like I said above, there can be many why. Am sure most of us are very upset it didn't get the ended it deserved but truefully with Season 5 not been really good and the movie been terrible? Will Season 6 ruin it completely? I think yes unfortuantly. I think from what I remember and read, Glen Murakami even though it was his show, he was demoted to executive producer which means not involved in the production and doesn't have a say in much at all, except budget purposes and other stuff I dont even know. Another reason why it could be bad because David Slack never returned for Season 5, he was not involved in it at all.

That's what I can say to help you guys understand, am sure many will know a lot of what I said, many of you don't. Tell me what your views is? Did Teen Titans really deserved to be cancelled? Should it have got 1 last season before moving onto other projects!?

Please comment.
