Survivors! (Build 39)
Survivors! Control Survivors Update
Awesome work Nolan. This works perfectly with both Hydrocraft Armor and the guns mods I have active. Not sure if this is an issue, but I can now see the moodles for my Survivors and many of them are in awful shape. I'm assuming these don't matter at all?

Okay, so Survivor 1 (not my player) has a Severe Unhappiness Moodle, a Freezing Moodle (It's October in my game) and a Hunger moodle. Is Survivor 1 going to get sick from cold? Is he going to become depressed? Do I have to worry about any of those moodles or can I just ignore them?

they have always been there. just now you can see them. i loaded up an old save and controlled my olders member he was depressed aswell. it effects them just as it does you.

side note something really funny happened. i wanted to see what would happen. i controlled my wife, after hiding in a house by the road. then wife went and found car, got in a started driving back towards my main players house, though still out of the same cell as main player. then i pressed esc to see what would happen to switch back to main player while wife was still driving.

The view switched back to main player but i could not move. then i saw my wife drive past the house, it was so lolz
Have you noticed too that the characters now level up? I had 2 characters that had leveled up their blade and aiming and I was able to level them up w/o spending any points.

are you saying you can level up their skills for free as much as you want?
Yes and No, they have to have achieved the rank [+] by doing the activity by themselves...but I can then push the [+] button and it doesn't take any of my Player's available points away and gives them the rank. One of my Suvivors had leveled 2 times in firearms aiming apparently. I hit the [+] button, they went up in a level, then I got to do it again. It didn't cost my player's reserve of points anything. That's a good thing. On the downside, most of them have NO strength or stamina. Meaning they can carry like 6 units of weight. Any way you can change that so that they're not all frail toddlers?

it seems that they health / skill menu doesnt really update and change when you change to control a survivor.
It does, but there is a trick to it: To get it to refresh, you have to hit the green arrow at the top in the skill menu that takes you to your stats (Strength, Stamina). That refreshes the skill & health menu when you tab back.
Let me just say again: this is a really, really cool update to this mod. Just extended the gameplay by a factor of...however many survivors I have.

yeah i saw something green i recall. ill try clicking that,
easy to get them to climb ropes and other stuff that was hard before. just take control and quickly do it yourself.
All sorts of stuff, man. Customize what food they're carrying (no more suprise bleachings), what kind of backpack they're using, customize their weapons, armor, clothing. No more ladies walking in skirts and blouses in the dead of winter. Plus you get to upgrade their skills and (eventually) their strength & stamina? It's just great. Hope the devs notice and take note, especially if they're going to implement NPCs someday again.

actually the armor will not work for survivors as it is. the armor code uses global vars rather than player mod data. i'll make neccesary adjustments but who knows when it will actually get updated via hydrocraft

if you check the hydrocraft thread on TIS forum. I posted update for armor code which will work on survivors.
you can update it yourself if you dont want to wait for hydro to update it. paste it into your hc install yourself

Nice, done.
Got a weird bug while doing some testing on a mod-modification of my own. I was opening and closing the game with a bit too much frequency, so not entirely sure how this happen, but I must have closed it while I was playing as a survivor. Maybe an accidental hard close. Anyway, when I booted up, my Character was listed as "Husband" and the survivor I was playing as when I hard closed was now my character. Lost all my skill points as the game apparently forced my Chracter to be remade as a random survivor named "Husband" pretty wild. Luckily I had a backup save.

it seems like if you quite the game immedietly after controlling a survivor. The game will save that controlled player over your main one. and since next relog it will think that controlled survivor is a new character, it will spawn a husband / wife accordingly.
avoid exiting game right after controlling survivor is all i can say for now.
