if your talking about Order -> Loot Room -> Weapons.

That has nothign to do with equipping. YOU equip the weapon you want to give them then right click and choose swap weapons.

i mean i want unarmed party members to equip weapons, the "swap" only worked if they already have a weapon.

if they dont have any weapon in hand at all. then something is wrong. there must have been errors or something. survivor should always have a weapon in hand unless you took control of them and took it away.

maybe i messed it up when i changed the settings file info. should i delete and re-install the mod?

might help, but more importantly find the errors and post them here so i can see them. they will be in your C:\Users\yourusername\Zomboid/console.txt

there is a LOT in that file and i don't know what to look for so i'll try re-installing the mod first

reinstalled it and tried something different. originally i changed settings so they appeared with one certain weapon. this time i made the % chance of guns to 0 (which is just as good, relatively speaking) and now it works
