[Tip] Airport makers - use Airport Apron sub building in your airport to fill it with concrete!
Since some version of the game, 'Airport Apron' and 'Integrated Metro Station' sub-buildings became parts of the vanilla game packaging (no After Dark is required).
Even small vanilla airport has that apron. See this picture:
