Compatibility
ABA2 is compatible to almost everything. Almost.

Being a fullblown AI mod itself, A Better ADVENT will not always play nice with other mods that change the AI. While running multiple AI mods will probably not crash your game, it can lead to inconsistencies in enemy behavior while being very unlikely to actually wield any benefit for you. Running other AI mods alongside Better ADVENT is not recommended.


-- ABA and the missions.ini --

The missions.ini is a file that holds most of the parameters for mission generation, pod composition and the like. ABA makes some massive changes to the file and other mods may collide with those. In practice, only few mods actually ended up being incompatible, but some tweaks may be required.

Examples:
- [COMPATIBLE] Additional Mission Types seems to only add stuff to the Missions.ini, no overlap with Better Pods.
- [COMPATIBLE] Extended Dark Events doesn't edit the Missions.ini at all.

- [SEMI-COMPATIBLE] Evac All edits the mission.ini to circumvent a bug introduced by Shen's Last Gift. Sadly, that fix clashes with Better Pods and will lead to empty maps without enemies on Neutralize Target missions. You can either live with that or delete the mission.ini from Evac All and live with the bug that Evac All has. You can find more info about that in the mod description of Evac All.
- [SEMI-COMPATIBLE] Additional Dark Events does several things that are conflicting with Better Pods. The reason ADE does that is because it has Dark Events that create new pods (Sectopods and Avatars, i believe) and these new pods need to be rooted in the mission schedules. Those same lines i need to edit as well. There is a way to make ADE and Better Pods compatible, follow these instructions:
* Open the XComDarkEvents.ini from Additional Dark Events. Change the "UsingPods" option from "true" to "false".
*Delete the Missions.ini from Additional Dark Events.

- [NOT COMPATIBLE]The Friendly AI mod by Fireborn is not compatible. Check out the Friendly AI modpage on Nexusmods for more info and possible alternatives.

Special case: "Call Reinforcements" by Rayman!

Providing some sort of compatibility with the mod "Call Reinforcements" by Rayman! has always been a popular request. To that end, Better ADVENT now has an option to turn on the Reinforce ability for this mod's captains. This doesn't require subbing to Call Reinforcements, ABA2 already has everything onboard that is needed.
To turn on this option, open the ABA_Settings.ini that comes with this mod. Find the lines that say "UseReinforceForCaptains = false" and "UseReinforceForPrimeCaptains = false" and change either or both of these options to "true".
