The map mod is only modding the map generator, so it will only be effective on new maps.
@Passi87GFRD
I don't speak German and Google translate made no sense at all. Can you please use English or have someone to help you?
"what does the mod do at all? He dont need a mod to change the settings of a map because he is able to do it by his self."
Thank you for the translation.
The mod makes the params more accessible (you don't have to edit the original file), you can turn off rocks and it adds new map generators.
Yes you have to activate the mod in "Free mode" under advance. By default the map is flat as a batt. To configure, open the mod's config.lua and edit before you generate a new map.
Because the mod generate maps, it can only be used with new games (not saved games). See the "description" tab to locate the config file.
I did try it with differents parameters, the result is nice.
Lets see if I remember this right. A higher value for industries make the industry's "area" larger, meaning less industries fill fit on the map.
I think the town area is just the size of the initial town's area. Smaller more towns on map.
Hmmm, it was a long time ago I made the mod (early Train Fever), I have to test and write a better instruction later...
On Big Maps i have performace problems so, or can i do something elso for a better performance?
