Athough, I think NPCs should also be hindered by the darkness. Unless they have a torch, they should be equally visually crippled as the player, except for vampires and Khajit. Yet currently, it's really unbalanced and frustrating to have normal Nord bandits see in the dark while you're near blind.
Lastly, the lamppost mod really helps guide you around at night.

Oh man I know this mod I just got it the other day!
WIth that you then have 8 degrees of darkness, #2 or #3 is quite nice.
If there's only one download option, it should be the one that everybody can use, not just vampires and kahjiits. I will be unsubscribing from this mod, unfortunately.
I will get this mod when the night time issue is sorted out.
