Unbalanced
Finally, I could interesting games as Japan, mod is great but….
The balance in the game is achieved a bit artificially.
On the one hand, really high influence of environment conditions, with a bit too strong defense of units, especially in the mountains with too little attrition due to lack of supplies.
In 1941, the Germans got stuck on the former Polish-Soviet border, 100 km before Minsk, after winter they even had to withdraw a bit. ITA-GER-BUL have been conquering small Greece for a year. Three, surrounded, in the mountains, without supplies, Chinese divisions defended themselves in the mountains for six months.
On the other hand, to strengthen the army and restore balance and historical truth, the tree of national decisions mainly includes adding dozens of factories, shipyards and technology bonuses.
With a Japanese tree, even a Tannu-Tuva would conquer the world. It looks like the authors forgot that the game simply allows you to build factories. In my opinion, this is the amputation of half the economic aspect of the game. Is this a strategy if one party suddenly gets 5 factories every month without any cost? In the basic version, it is not so exploited. It's getting classic gaming railroading.
Spamming 400 factories generates 500 divisions. Together with a low stacking penalty and overpowered defense all this creates impenetrable fronts with tedious and boring gameplay. Not to mention dozens of generals covering half of the screen.
The great advantages of this mod are wide variety of equipment and the expansion of the combat width to 120, which makes it possible to use different division patterns (10, 15, 20, 24, 30, too large 40).
The problem is that despite the greater number of research teams, it is possible to discover anyway only 60-70% of technologies that have been historically discovered
(maybe a little more if played, even more inflexible “on the rails” of national decisions).
