Hey eric, thank you for the mission descriptions!

Maybe you could help me a little more? We have not managed to unlock mission 7.1 to 7.6. so I was not able to translate them to German :/
Could you send me the original English titles and descriptions, too? And then comes the tricky part: Could you start the game, start mission 7.1, quit the mission, start mission 7.2, quit it and so on and after you quit 7.6, send my your ktane.log file? (You can find it by opening Steam => rightclick on "Keep Talking" => Properties => Local Files => Brwse local files => logs). In the files we will then find the module pool for each of these missions, which I need to recreate them.

Actually, I haven't unlocked those missions either. I had to look up videos on Youtube to get the descriptions. So unfortunately I won't be able to send you that log file. But here are the English titles and descriptions for those levels atleast:


Section 7: Exotic

7.1 Blinkenlights
The colors! I hope you can enjoy this on as many levels as I do.

7.2 Applied Theory
In theory, you should be able to re-use knowledge to make this easier. In practice...

7.3 A-maze-ing
Apologies for making light of your predicament.

It was punintentional.

7.4 Snip Snap
With crisp communication and a steady hand, you'll be fine. Maybe.

7.5 Rainbow Table
You're going to need some help cracking this one.

7.6 Blinkenlights II

Thanks for the Youtube hint! Turns out, that most of the "Exotic" missions are one-module-type-only missions, so no need for the log file - watching a let's play is enough!

Integrated your wordlist - looks good so far.

About your mission descriptions: Unfortunately the game currently does not allow any non English characters in the mission titles and description (no problems in the module), so we have to do something about ä, ö and å. In German writing there is a "fallback" solution by simply replacing the umlauts with the non umlaut vowel followed by an e (ä => ae, ö => oe, ü => ue). Is there a similar solution in Swedish?

Hm, that's a shame about the non English characters in the descriptions. Your solution could work for Swedish too, but it's not really optimal. I'll see what I can do though. I might be able to replace atleast some of the words that has umlauts. Thanks for the info!

Okay, so I actually managed to remove all the umlauts from the titles and descriptions by using different synonyms and changing the structure of some of the sentences. Phew! It wasn't easy, but I did it! The result may not be 100% grammatically correct all of the time, but I definitely think it's good enough and it looks a lot better than if I would have had to use "aa", "ae" and "oe" instead of Å, Ä and Ö. I edited the original post with the new titles and descriptions :)

Lol, I just noticed a word is censored in 3.6. The word is s-l-u-t, and it does not mean the same thing in Swedish as it does in English haha. The word s-l-u-t in Swedish means "end" / "over" / "finish".

Eric, I would like to have your opinion on this: The font I chose for the password has, as far as I can tell, a weird way of drawing the Å character (see here[web.personal-webspace.de]).
Is this a common way of displaying this character? I'm thinking about modifying the font into something like this[web.personal-webspace.de]. Maybe you can tell me what your favourite would be (or give me another idea)!

Finnish alphabet also includes the Å character (though we almost never use it), so if you don't mind me answering:

No, that is not a common way to draw it. Seems like the top of the circle is cut off.

From what I've seen in electronics, the usual solution is shortening the A a bit. So the last one of those.

No, the character is never displayed that way. It looks like the ring has been cut off. I would go with either the middle one or the last one in your second picture. I can't decide which one I like the best though. Hmm... Probably the last one.

Edit: Hah, I was ninja'd by Hertzila! :)
