Syandana Scapulis v3
... Its not a "Syandana"
The word "Syandana" was chosed since it can be translated to "flowing", and almost all of the ones so far have included cape-like affects and models. This one has no real special attributes (like the Spitfire being boldly shaped or the Officium being Corpus-themed) to be an outlier. Its just 3 random, floating shapes. I hope you can make a version 2.0, since It has some potential. I hope you take this as constructive, and not insult.

Edit: For recent feedback, I know and have stated that a syandana need not be a cape, but be original and interesting. I feel this one needs more polish and purpose is all, since it really does not look like anything. It is not a cape, nor a distinct accessory such as a jetpack or an embelem. WIth some edits it can be better, but as it is simply a trio of odd shapes. Again, this is meant for discussion, not to trigger you.

as much as you have a good point the word it self shouldn't be taken literally, i would say that it symbolizes back accessory with a good sounding word, plus there are people who do not like "capes" i am one as such but i would definitely like a back accessories that aren't capes.
also the fact that at least one of the factions does have a Syandana that isn't a cape in any way shape or form means that DE does not consider the meaning of the word literally.

I'll take your point that not all Syandanas need be actual capes, but that gives all the more point fo the outliers be special, different compared to the norm. This one seems more random than unique, and formless than natural. It looks like a rough draft that was posted just because the creator had no other ideas.

Your argument is invalid, if that one syndana that's just four glowing arms has anything to say to you. '
But i do understand your concern, but still, this is an accessory that flawlessly fits frames like mag and Nova, or even Volt. this is a great syndana!

To say my argument is invalid, without actually elaborating yourself, just to say you then understand me is just hypocritical. I don't mind if you like, it, just use some reason please to explain why its worth 6$.

There have been Syandanas accepted from Tennogen that look more like jetpacks and backpacks than scarves and capes - the Jattuk and Sciathin syandanas are pretty much jetpacks. Hell, the Officium Syandana, which is also one of the accepted and currently available Tennogen syandanas, is just a Corpus symbol floating on the back of the Warframe.

Having variety is not a bad thing, and this thing does look nice enough.

Someone didn't read my comments.

FYI, on a side note, the four glowing arms isn;t a syandana, it's a special effect when using Nova's powers while wearing the Auri skin.

I like the idea of back "ornaments" rather than flowing capes, cloaks, or funny looking strings. Maybe the item needs more polish to make it look special, but I would not want to discourage this from being developed and potentially accepted into Warframe. I like the concept.

I think I feel quite similar, I wouldn't make the thread otherwise.

I disagree with the statement that it doesn't qualify all that much as a syndana in the traditional sense as a cape or scarf. Indeed, as stated above, other accepted TennoGen content proves that it is actually legitimate that a syndana doesn't need to be some type of cape.

In any case, I agree on the notion that this could use some more polish. I like it as it is right now to give it my thumbs up but I do sincerely think that something can be done with this to make it better. This is a very nice back ornament I must say. However, you could spice it up with some more intricate designs and a little more detail, perhaps even transforming it into a three-parter cape that has a dangly bit of energy fabric on each of the three ornaments, like a triple asa syndana (perhaps asa syndana prime, if you will). Something along those lines.

In essence, I like it but it can be much more than it currently is. Other than that, this, to me, qualifies as a syndana-type cosmetic and can be released to the public in this state.

Aks author to take it as criticism, not insult; Then claims the piece of work formless and worthy of 'a rough draft that was posted just because the creator had no other ideas'... Then says we need more variety...

Everything here is purely subjective; Just as we see colors, hear music, taste food; It's your opinion, and I understand that; Whether it's a 'Synandana' by defenition or not doesn't seem to be the case for Tenno Gen (Even DE's own rules of 'fitting with the Sci-Fi theme of Warframe have been stretched a bit, in some cases).

I understand it needing more polish, but Warframe needs more polish... And they are a company...

... This player probably works on this in their free time... Give them a break...

If you like the idea, stand behind it; Let them know. If you don't, leave or let them know what you don't like; There is a 'No' option for a reason.

Calling it formless and that you would like to see a version 2.0 is critisism, but hardly helpfull. How would you change it for an update? What about it is formless? Where would you add things and what would you add? What would you take away?

I for one like the idea and will give it a thumbs up; I wouldn't know where to begin with recomendations or requests becasue I don't know what i would want it to look like; It just looks cool to me right now, and i'm interested to see where it goes.

Obviously its my opinion and its subjective, I never claimed to be an expert on this subject. I gave it my criticism, helpful or not, without saying this was a "bad" design, so I did give them a "break". Also I obviously do know there is a "no" option, and I clicked it, and following your advice I told the creator what I did not like. I'm sorry I wasn't as elaorate as you'd like, but this thread was a question to the creator, not you. Either way since you weren't very disrespectful to me, I thank you for your responce.

Thank you for understanding that i meant as little disrespect as possible; I'm trying not to be 'that guy', telling others how to behave on the internet (Even to those trying to do so; Good luck); It's just, as a 'creator of content' myself, it's hard to cater to anyones and everyones opinions, especially when the majority of feedback is simply 'it sucks' or 'try harder' without further elaboration.
and here we see why humanity is doomed.
nobody can take criticism.
