Is it possible to do a manual download of this mod?

I bought XCOM2 on the App Store. There are notes from Feral on using mods that have been manually downloaded. I am interested in getting the “a better start” mod and seeing if I can get it to work in my iMac. Any guidance on manual downloading of this specific mod would be greatly appreciated.
