Network Extensions 2

Is there a way to make it work offline?
Using the symlink trick, it now is possible to enable it, and I see the options for the extension in the menu, but the in-game components (road menu, and the road types) are not showing. With my extremely limited knowledge on how mods work, I've figured out at least that you can make assets show up offline by copying the crp files to the personal assets folder. But apparently that's not enough here. And, when I went through all the subfolders for this extension I see the roads are there as folders with only the png texture files. So now I'm really out of ideas on how this extension might work..and why It doesn't work in offline mode.

Same problem here. Where do you have the game installed? Because the mod has some hardcoded paths in the sourcode.

Hmm..I see, that was not so good...not only do I have steam on multiple drives, I also don't use program files-folders for any games..strange that it works when online though..

Anyway, thanx for the (only) answer btw..

So...this cannot be used in offline game?

I am having trouble getting the roads to show up in menu. Just wanting to verify if this can't work.

Actually I think I found a solution for this.
The folder under Mods and the folder under Assets both need to be named "Network Extensions 2". I just got mine working.

how did you do it?

Just go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Mods and rename the folder that contains this mod to "Network Extensions 2" and it should work!

I can confirm that demon's solution works. I'm playing off Steam and NE wouldn't work at all. I've followed his instruction to rename the folder and it works perfectly. Thanks, dude! :lunar2019grinningpig:
I used to make an asset, and I put the model and PNG texture, but a,road is not like a building, the way to add to game is not same. Maybe figure out how does steam manage and sort workshop files could help us. I can't use it's localization version, so I am wondering how to add this mod to game files, do you know how to add this mod to game files?
