Usage of races in other mods
Hi Fugasas,

great mod that you have here!

I have a quite similar mod, that adds random sci-fi pre scripted empires to the game. But I am not that great graphics designer and it is very hard for me to include new portraits.

So I have some questions, because I am not sure how to handle this:

First did you made all the portraits by yourself?
If yes may I use them in my mod?
If no did you ask every modder or what is the usual way to handle this?

It would be very nice if you could answer my questions.

Greetings,
xan

Hi Fugasas,

I was hoping that, with your permission, I could use specific assets from your mods (United Sci Fi Races/United Sci Fi Robots) featured in mine. I am making a mod detailing 50 odd of Science Fictions beloved races pre-scripted. I have made a proof of concept version, Sci Fi Prescripted Races (one of my first mods I have ever made), which received a lot of interest, but not a lot of subscriptions for the amount of interest shown (not that I am chasing subs). I suspect, due to feedback, a fair number of people were turned off by the high mod dependency. Taking that feedback on board I thought I could further my knowledge and skill set by trying to streamline my project.

The assets in question would be primarily gfx and limited to specific requirements for each race and not a carte blanche selection, additionally I would do my own coding, not just a cut and paste (I need to learn). I am doing this mostly for myself, but there is a small selection of really enthusiastic people waiting for an improved version(fingers crossed I can deliver), hence my request. I would grant credit and thanks on the main page, and encouragement to check out your mod, along with creating a discussion detailing the mods used in aid of the construction of the mod.

Kind Regards,
ContactWithTheEnemy.
