so for a lets play I recorded (and currently is being scheduled) I decided to do a Tale of a Cult, the rules were simple, only humanitarians (LOL) could be in the cult, everyone else is prey, we wanted to call Cthulu but we needed to be favored by every other god and do at least one spell from each of them before becoming a Chosen of the Sleeper of Ryleth

Went pretty well all things considered, had some deaths, but for the most part I did well, starting on easy diffculties to harder (not insanity of course)...

So here is what went wrong, for the most part my base was pretty well defended, plenty of traps, a funnel to a death tunnel of turrets, embraseries and more traps and my base could easily live on their own off the garden inside the walls and so on

But...

I was favored by Nyarlathotep and I noticed the latest spell, we had a prisoner, used it and we had a succesful summon of two priests, one was even a human eater...the other we of course beat up and put him into one of the many cells we had for potential offerings, I was glad we were favored by the god and giving us a very good cult member with the trait we wanted...

Then the Omen came, a flock of ravens with one dead

I had everyone and every animal pack it inside to wait for whatever was coming

Well it came from the sky...and right onto our garden in the middle of the base


We tried our best to fight them off, but there were too many, they burnt everything, we lost members of our flock, the Jade Temple we worked hard on was in ruins, everything we have all worked for, before they even made it to the temple we set up a mark of Dagon who we had previously had gained the aid of many times, gifting us with many ships and people to offer up, even a few joined us as they were like us

Two times we called for aid...

Two times he ignored them, we were tricked by the God of Chaos, he had given us a great gift in one hand and in the other he had thrown down our demise

Many of us escaped the compound, our animals were left behind as many who could not run, I do not know who survived and what they did afterwords, all I know is that we failed in our mission to bring enlightment upon the world...

And yet I forsee the mysterious book surviving the fire...and perhaps the next person to read it might succeed where they did not

(yeah do plan a sorta sequel to that, needless to say it was an epic way to have it end, we survived so many horrors and attacks and taken out by the whims of an elder god...yeah a very fitting end)
