Development Insight of Update 1.5
Fallen Empire Expanded will be continuously updated and improved based on your feedback.

We wish to provide YOU, the subscriber to this awesome mod, constant commentary and updates concerning the development and progress of the upcoming Update 1.5.

Update Status
Update 1.5 is completed.

Estimated date of release: Update 1.5 was released on 12th of September 2017.

Your involvement is paramount to improving Fallen Empires Expanded.

If you have an idea as to how to build upon the objectives of Update 1.5, please share in the Thoughts, Suggestions, and Ideas thread.

We will be constantly checking discussions and comments to recieve your input.

Update 1.5 objectives

As many of you already might know, Surfacerunner has had to temporarily step back from actively working on Fallen Empires Expanded and therefore I am taking the reins for a while.

Update 1.5 will introduce many new features to Fallen Empires Expanded. This will mark the start of a raft of changes following 1.5 "Banks" and the new expansion, Utopia.

I currently have no release date for Update 1.5, but suffice to say that it will be coming sooner rather than later.

A new development objective has been set:
• Hive Mind Fallen Empire
• Homeworld system for the Hive Mind Fallen Empire
• New Subject type for the Hive Mind Fallen Empire
• Mechanic to allow Fallen Empire Militarists to acquire new Puppet states during a game.

This thread will allow for subscribers, you, to have an insight to what the next update will bring.

So far, all (if not most) FE appear to be rather... mean-spirited. One or two benevolent FE would be quite welcome! Say, an isolationist interventionist that would intervene in uneven wars to keep aggressive empires in check. Or a reclusive philantrophist that throws some gifts here and there, preferring smaller and weaker empires.

Might be out of scope for this update, though.

Loving this Mod - Though Im in year 2403 and the Empire wars have started, my fram rate is high at 70 to 90 but every now and then for a few seconds it hits 3 fps. Is this the Mod becuase it's clearly not my hardware. Or is this what people get at late game?

I like this mod, Fallen Empires should be mean spirited all the time in my opinion

Those Isolationistic FE should go, or change their behaviour. If you start by chance beside them you cannot even settle in your own border, i got declared war within 4 years in 2204...because of my first colony which wasnt any closer than my homesystem. It just ruins the game from the start like that. (Even if you like a challenge, which i love but this is just ridiculous)

Mentioned in the main page but any chance of using the NSC shipsets for Militaris and Pacifist FE's? It would also be awesome of FE's had some of additional ship classes added by NSC but not sure how much you're willing to be tied to another mod!

I don't have a problem with the way isolationist fallen empires are, its not that difficult to avoid them. All you have to do is not expand near that, seriously not that difficult, and anyone who thinks they should go just want to limit this great mod and should seriously learn to adapt

The later your game gets the more likely you gonna get lag because there's more on the map my man. I get it mid/late game too. Feels bad.
