If I tame right now an easter bunny, set it to wander and put some carrots on its inventory I can play for 48hs straight and I cant get one treat, they never show up. I can only see the new treats after i restart the server.
same for the existing bunnies, if I start the server right now and they have 1 treat, I can play for 48 hours straight and they will only have 1 treat. I cant see/get new treats until i restart the server.
Lets say it has 0 treats and I play for 48 hours without one showing up, if i restart the server and join it will be at cap (currently its 5 I guess).
So they do spawn I just cant access without a server restart. Maybe its an issue with stack me more, or EC, idk.
To be safe, isolate them with their own trough (so other tames don't eat out of it and deplete it) and keep a stack of berries on them at all times.
Ofc if Ive played long enough for them to get me 5 treats.
Treats and Golden Kibble work fine on our server, it's only been an issue when they go unfed, which can happen easily if you breed a lot.

We use that mod, it doesn't change weight and doesn't stack things ridiculously high. Closest to "balanced" I've found and is updated.
