Opiate is a drug that you force feed to an unconscious non-alpha dino (potent opiate for the alphas), it starves the dino, but it also wakes them up faster. It's useful if you want to tame a dino faster, and have enough narcotics to counter the wake up effect.

It's useful for low lvl players until they get to sedatives, which is the ultimate taming drug as force feeding it to an unconscious dino wipes out their hunger completely, and maximizes their torpor (absolutely no negative effect, unless you're trying to wake up the dino lol).

Opiate is created by hand, there are several other things that has to be created from extinction core workbench though. If you cannot see all extinction core items, then the mod is not added correctly. Extinction Core is a powerful mod that requires to be listed as the first mod.
And Opiate is buggy!
If a creature wakes up from the directly torpor-drain effect when feeded an opiate, it could happen, that you cannot tranq the creature again. Another Problem i saw multiple times is, that narcotics or narcoberries won't counter the torpor drain if i feed them by holding "E". Only if i press E for every single narcotic, torpor will go up again, or you hit the sleeping dino with tranq arrows or darts to raise it's torpor again. No problem for creatures you tame for Kibble eggs, but this method destroys taming effectivity and is not recommended for all tames you want to reach good taming results.
