What INI settings are you using? Here's what we use....
For others to use as reference, I thought I'd start a discussion regarding what settings we are running.

My server uses the following:

Blueprint station is disabled. (a bit too OP, has exploits, and not needed IMO)

These settings we use are much more strict and require folks to put in a lot of effort to get their gear upgraded. This still in many cases is easier than the RNG of the absolutely garbage items from the supply drops, so it provides an alternative "guarantee" over the sheer lottery of the current system and is easier than using a supply drop mod that requires server ops to spend hours tweaking huge lists of gear.

Using these settings on a base Primitive Sword required 218 metal, 50 hide, and 4 wood and produced a Ramshackle Sword with 127.6% DMG and 147 durability, up from the base 100% DMG and 70 durability.

Using the defaults on the same required much, much less resources and produced a Ramshackle Sword with 171.5% DMG and 143 durability. This is WAY overpowered for the resources required.

Anyways, post up your singleplayer/server INI settings and explain why you chose those values!

I run a 5x gather server and am not good with balancing. I wish more people would have posted to this! I'd like to try your settings but i'm afriad to upset people without someone having really tested this for balancing on higher rate server.

On the left are spawned in quality 4-5 rifles, on the up-right upgraded rifles, on down-right augmented rifles. Did not test with armor or other weapons or saddles.

I think I will increase the UpgradeStatIncreaseMax and MaxDamagePerIndex by a little, like 400-800 each or so. But it starts to be very close to what I want.

:update:
increased UpgradeStatIncreaseMin to 1600 and UpgradeStatIncreaseMax to 2600 and I got this from upgrades:

Increased MaxDamagePerIndex to 3600 and this gave me 280% dmg cap on mastercraft and 316% cap on ascended. Pretty happy with it now.

Fingerscrossed that armor and saddles don't need much adjusting :D

I use the following crafting overrides for augments and station settings on my cluster. I have other disallowed items specified for upgrade but won't include them here as they are only relevant to the mods we use.
