What do l mean? l've already written down the steps and added a video
Can you please be more specific? After you extract the .civ5mod to a new folder in the civ 5 mod folder, does it show up in your mod list?
And is the steam download not working?
Have you updated the mod? The latest version fixes the Zone problem
After i extract to the folder it gives me error messages saying that it could not extract the .xml files. It showed up for a spit second in my mod list on civ. Downloading through steam and manually does not work. I have no other mods. halp pls
tl;dr: Game Version 1.0.3.279, BNW, GAK, CNW deluxe, Mongolia, Scramble nations, Deleting mod database did nothing, Never tried manual install.
1. When you extract, remember to change the file extension from .civ5mod to .zip
2. Do you have BNW and G&K?
The manual install is the answer, my friend. You shouldn't even need to download the file, because if you subbed then the Boris.civ5mod file should be in your MODS folder. You have to extract it like l explained above.
Let me know if you got it working or if you need anything else
So naturally I thought it would be something with the extractor because there were Tons of error messages. Of course this might not be the case because there might have been a screw up while downloading. And possibly (though I extremely dought any DLC I have atm would harm it) a DLC could have harmed it.
Though it seems mildly obvious, this mod is fairly new and it will have tons of bugs, I think it's highly plausible that I screwed up the extraction though. I only wanted for this to become another note on the front page that using the generic Microsoft extractor might not work. Just a wee bit of advice.
1:Install manual mod
2:make a file
3:put the mod into the file
4:extract it there (preferably with 7zip)
5:Have fun.
It's pretty easy (and is esentially what you came up with first)
Yes i changed it to .zip thats when i got the extraction errors. yes i do not have BNW and G&K
