Those abilities have been collapsed into "Tricks of the Trade." If you take points in this skill you will be able to steal, pick locks, and you will become sneakier! :D

Otherwise you can try using Unlock scrolls, or some doors and chests can simply be broken open.

where is "Tricks of the Trade."?

It is an ability that you can spend points on like Hydrosophist, Pyromancer, Grit, Willpower, etc. It occupies the spot in the character sheet that used to be occupied by the skills referred to as "Nasty Deeds."
