How difficult are Explorer/Classic Modes?
I've been considering some later builds I wanted to play, and a few of them are simply put inefficient but fun. How scaled down are these 2 modes compared to Tactician using Epic Encounters? Too much? Barely a difference?

My testing was confined to Tactician setting since we needed data about the possibility of completing various encounters at more restrictive difficulty levels, so I cannot speak directly to your question. However, I can tell you that in Classic you will encounter fewer monsters in some fights and that those monsters will have lower stats, most notably HP. Very refined builds will likely shred much of this content, but if you want to try something really odd and far-reaching just to understand if the mechanics might pay off in some form, there is definitely merit in testing here. Also, we have had several positive reports about Classic from players that simply wanted something more forgiving than Tactician. This mod was originally designed with a top difficulty curve that we knew might be considered a little extreme, so it is certainly possible that Classic could provide enough resistance to remain engaging.

Cool. I'll likely try Classic out then after I finish my Tactician run.

I'd really like to do a double Lone Wolf play through without being hyper efficient on the builds. But when I was playing Tactican without Epic Encounters it was far too easy. That's why I looked for a mod and found EE in the first place.

The more I think about it, I don't see any LW builds making it through Tactician Epic Encounters unless they're on the bleeding edge of combo efficiency.
