Eye positioning.
First of all: I'm totally in love with this skin and can't wait for this to be avaible in game.

Yet I have noticed that as you aim ingame your frame aims down sights with their right eye no matter what.

I was wondering why you chose to augment the left eye on your skin instead of the eye that is typically used for ADS on the character model.

Kind regards,

Your average Mesa main

cant you press H to change the side your gun postion is on while aiming the sights? or does it still use the right even when your on the left?

They still aim with their right eye, where you position the camera doesn't effect the animation

clearly its because mesa is a cocky ♥♥♥♥ who likes to hamper herself. the original blindfold is something that mesa supposedly added to make combat more of a challenge. so ofcourse mesa would aim with her not augmented eye

Why even augment an eye in the first place ?

Mesa didn't build herself.

If I may, I think real life offers a pretty good reason why if you should augment an eye it's not the eye you sight down the scope. Real marksmen don't use only their right eye, they use both to maintain their depth perception, also if you're augmenting an eye rather that the one that would require you to modify the weapon to remove any obstacles or adapt the sights to the augments shape the eye that's clear of obstructions such as that would be the more practical choice.

Also most people are right eye dominant (yes that is an actual fact), if your going to augment an eye why not the one you don't naturally favor incase of equipment failure?

Good argument, but as evidence suggests it seems that Mesa is actually blind (or atleast visually impaired) on her right eye and since the update of this skin it seems that its creator wants to imbody this vision as well. Why aim down sights with a non existant (or heavily damaged) eye ?

but... most of the warframes don't even have visible eyes to begin with, aside from some glowy bits on some of them that one can only assume are ocular sensors.

That totally bugged me for the longest time, then I just kind of adjusted and... now I sort of suspect maybe the warframe operator maintains some form of awareness beyond the actual visual sensors of the warframe itself. Would explain -perhaps needlessly- why we are able to look around corners a little bit (i.e. the 3rd person camera).

Either that or, as you say, it's the glowy bits. That'd be my best guess at an alternate explanation.

I have a theory that the Orokin were not only destroyed by the Sentients but were also in a civil war that was caused by the decision to utilize the Tenno as weapons rather than destroy them, I believe that Mesa was not originally created as a Warframe but rather as an actual suit of armor (or perhaps she was used as a faulty frame due to the lack of void energy in the user of the link) by some form of rebellion ( almost like Silvana created Titania as she escaped the Orokins supervision).

Mesa was referred to as "The Vagabond" and "The Outcast" as well as a vigilante by Lotus, hence my believes that she wasn't a frame that was actually used by the Orokin and was rather seen as a rebellious frame.

Its also worth to mention that her wrapped head reminds me of the StallordD depiction of one of the first responders that entered the Zariman to extract the Tenno who was known by the name Kayline, during the extraction she avoided any quarantine whatsoever and in the rush to save the children managed to get her face burned.

BUT THATS JUST A THEORY

You people do realise you're supposed to have both eyes open when aiming down the sights of real guns? The augmented left eye is beneficial in some way, whether it be in a zoom feature or some kind of aim-assist overlay, but regardless of the function my point still stands that both eyes are important when shooting real guns, so why should that change just because the shooter is a space ninja?
