Yes the m249 has 100 bullets, but the AK and LR far counter the m249. It's damage isn't feasible and takes already quite a few shots to kill geared players, unlike the lr and AK which have high damage. And it's recoil isn't as bad but you can still feel the recoil. In a 1 on 1 situation the Ak or lr will destroy a m249 player, it's like comparing a maplestrike to a nykorev almost. I've used the m249 extensively (literally I'll use the m249 over AK and LR) and I can fully confirm its underpowered compared to its assualt rifle counter parts. The damage isnt feasible, and the recoil combined with the firerate has some sort of kick (not that bad though). Either way the m249 should receive some sort of damage buff to make it a more competive weapon. A good way to buff the m249 would be to slightly lower the firerate, add more recoil and make it have damage higher than a AK.
