this long war was total trash, I love the original because it fixed the issues of the base game while this dong war intensifies the flaws of xcom2

Commander! Your troops might want to exercise restraint when using pointless flaming! It clogs the airwaves with whining and destroys the very real DLC-related conversations we're trying to have! Just something to consider.

wll there are enough mods to cancell out the so-called flaws, made for that very purpose

After the cooperation between Firaxis and LWS/Pavonis, it's semi-official DLC at this point. In this game and every other one with mods and DLC, some mods only work with certain DLC (if you look at it as that, which - again - it effectively is) and that's no different here. People like good mods - smart modders follow the community. Don't blame Pavonis for making a good mod.

It's easy to find mods that make Long War 2 easier. A whole lot easier. It's very easy to customize the gameplay or tweak values - you don't need to know how to code, and with 3,000 mods out there chances are someone's done it for you. The fact is that Long War remains - in both cases - the definitive iteration of these games. They're just better with them, and they will almost certainly adapt it to fit the new War of the Chosen DLC.

Why wouldn't they? Again, it's basically DLC.

You're in luck, then. The new DLC - War of the Chosen - has some of the elements from LW2, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Me personally, I'm hoping that they adapt the existing mod to support it.

Either way, there's plenty for everyone to enjoy.

What did you smoke? they need to make this compatable with the new expac as fast as they can, don't think i can enjoy vanilla xcom anymore.

Long war is why I play xcom, love 1 and 2. If you don't agree thats fine play without it but don't try and convert me like some kind of door to door jehovah witness.

This mod is a nice try but total waste my game after few hours - no more missions, no more ingame credits, blank panel of enemy activities, very long starting of the game ... and game crashing after uninstall - no, thank you for the waste of time
