Report a translation problem
I believe it's a bug/unintended AI programming (since there is no reason they should be able to shoot your weakest soldier across the map without even knowing he/she exists), and I hope it does get fixed in the future.
And Pavonis just did it same way, which I do totally understand, they dont get 40 Euros for every sold game.
Best tactic for these guys is either take me out quick, or break line of sight and prepare an overwatch ambush for when the aliens chase you round the corner, it makes the Archers and Longbows useless, as their AI keeps them near the back, where they can't do jack S*** cause they can't see you
