long war, how so?
wow really 30-41 percent to hit in beginning? How is that supposed to become a long war..its a rather short war at least for my people. How about to rename the mod to cannonfodder or something :>

amazing had 75 percent with a sniper..still failuire after i reloaded right before the shot 20 times...never a hit...while the aliens kill my people like they are made of paper and move into their line of fire on their own. How am i supposed to manage any mission in the beginning? Or shall i just ignore and let the world burn behind my careless back till i researeched better equipment to compensate the lacking skill of my people?

And that on the lowest difficulty without ironman. How the hell does anyone play this on highest difficulty with ironman? Perhaps from inside a rubberroom, because you hardly can keep your sanity with continously attempting to succeed that..i am close to put on my tinfoilhat from this..

Are you one of those "uh how boring..max difficulty and still a cakewalk..i want more challenge..." guys?

When your soldiers are rookies, make use of the 'take a turn to aim' adding +20% to hit. Sounds like you have 'Not created equally' enabled. and have been getting some bad soldiers. btw reloading rarely changes the outcome of any shot.

When you're a rag tag team of poorly trained rebels going up against the spawns of god knows what, you tell me how well you'll hit them...

But i have to admit that the mod contains alot very nice features i would love to have in a running game, but the difficulty is kind of to much for me. Yeah i am probably a everlasting noob in some games even though i do like to play them. Does that make me a masochist? I dont know. May the world judge over me after i left it :>

try the mod "a better rookie" for lw2 until yu get the hang of it. it sure helped me out. i used the "lite" version of it. yes, its kinda cheating, but a game is supposed to be fun after all.

Save scumming doesn't normally work out to your benefit eh - as the game downgrades your save. For example, if you hit the first time around, and then for some reason reload that save, you will now miss, EVERY TIME, hence the term "downgrades your save". The only way to get a different result is to do something different (this doesn't mean it will be a better result, just different - usually with the same sh!t happening that prompted you to reload the save originally.,You know, like you missed with 4 shots in a row with over 90% to hit, and they nail you 3 times in a row with less than 15% on each of their shots, 2 of which were full on hits, killing your guys instantly, and the last one, they were nice and just grazed you for almost all your life). This is Xcom's bullsh!t rng that does this. Also note, you have to be aware, that the game state can change if you reload a save - for example, enemies that had no cover, standing in the open (after blowing up their cover), may have cover now, still standing in the open, or, an even better one, enemy units will have moved on the reload, was standing in the open, but now has moved to a cover location. Reloading a save downgrades, one way or the other, your getting downgraded.

I've noticed that save downgrade myself. Just figure, whatever you would have rolled before, you're going to get half of that. Also, the game isn't fully random, since it seems to remember, more or less, what it planned to roll for the next couple actions. I find that the only way to break that loop is to do something that can't fail, like throw a grenade.

It's not so bad, they have worst odds of hitting you. Just grenade them if you can't kill em.
