Petition for gamepad support
For those of us with accessibility issues gamepad support is the difference from being able to play a game and not. Please support gamepads. I'd happily contribute to your project on patreon or where ever you take donations if this feature was added.

OP, have you tried using one of the tools that exist for mapping keyboard/mouse controls to a controller? It's not perfect but It may help if it's literally "make or break" for you.

No, but would joy 2 key work for LW2? I'm just looking for rudimentary functionality

While far from ideal it does allow you to map the mouse to a thumbstick or something. Again, native gamepad support would be nice but if you're willing to and wanting it's not a terrible option.
