Does this mod conflict with Psychology? Since it has its own election/ leader system, too.

Should work together, you'll have the leaders from this mod and the mayor from the Psyc mod.

This may not be anything that you can help with. After two seasons, 5 "election" dates total. I finally had the "colonists gathering for an election" notification. However, no matter if I lock the colonists in the room with the ballot box, it always ends the same. No one attended the election.

**Edit**

So I had to reload the game a few time to the day before the election was supposed to take place. The "fix" I had to implement was restricting everyone's allowed area close to the election room, I also had to take my night shift people and put them on day shift. This may help someone else!

Colonists seem to ignore their area restrictions when going to lessons, which seems unintuitive (I'd expect colonists who can't go to the area the class is in to not attend the lesson)

I had a dictatorship and the leadership expired (which I thought only happened when the dictator died) and I couldn't figure out how to choose a new leader or change to a democracy.
Every time my colonists gather for elections, they stay for a little bit before just wandering off, and no one is elected. How do I fix this?

I uninstalled and restarted the a new game without the mod, issue didn't happened again.

Elections are not being held

I have found a fix for this as I have had this issue a lot recently. In the latest update of Rimworld there is a bug in which if there is an ancient danger in the map you will not be able to choose a colony/faction name until all of the enemies within are defeated, I have just finished 1 quadrom without having an election or not being able to name my colony but after uncovering the ancient danger and using Dev mode to kill all the mechanoids and centipedes and instantly was able to name my colony. After reaching the 7th day within that month an election took place also so its not the mod thats broken but the current update version!

Thanks - that works! I cleared out my ancient dangers and an election was held at the next opportunity. Are there supposed to be 2 leaders though?

Yeah! If you have more than 5 colonists there are two leaders!
