Werewolf bug?

I tamed a Werewolf because I saw in a Video that he does good damage and is fast but when I taimed him he was very slow (Sprinting wasn't even faster than walking) and only dealt a little of his original damage. Is this a bug now or did the werewolf got nerfed really hard?
