I've noticed that my expenses are listed as "0" (in the last row) in spite of having building and unit maintenance costs. My expenses are correctly listed in the vanilla economic window. Any ideas? Using Community Balance Patch.

You can't change tax rates until you enter the classical era. You can't issue debt until Renaissance. There are help tags in those screens.

Ok what about the expenses listed as zero when you in fact have expenses in form of unit maintenance etc
The first of your pics shows the last row in the 3000 bc's with zero expenses. It's this normal and something that's comes in a later era?

The effects of this mod only begin in the classical era, so you won't have expenses or revenue until then. You basically have no control of the economy in the ancient era.

I think I finally understand your question... The expenses of this mod are not the same as the base game expenses. Military Expenses in this mod is what your civ pays to support military buildings (walls, barracks) in addition to whatever city maintenance you normally pay. The tooltips on those items will tell you exactly what you're paying for.
.... maybe this is a problem with my client, but as soon as I unlock (guilds I think? its the one with machu pichu) my game bugs out and I can't build anything.
nvm, ignore my bug, it was a problem cause by a mod I had that removed bloody missionaries from the game.
I think this mod could be really in depth with basic economics, a few topics to add would be: Monetary and Fiscal Policy, a bussiness cycle that effects inflation, trade and how it effects your currency's power, and possibly add a part of the mod that could be microeconomics (just a few suggestions). The mod looks great, but I still need to play past ancient era. btw using Community balanace patch (v.88), 3&4 UC Mods, and a few miscellanious mods.

I would love to play a game with this mod, but i found out i wasn't able to alter my taxes when my civ entered the classical era. The policies that should be accessible didn't function as well. I also tried to reload the game and it still didn't work. How can i fix this?
you can only change your taxes in medieval and above, also policies only unlock once you reach a certain era for each policy

Could you tell me which (if any) expansion you are playing with? I ask because if you are playing without BNW you won't be able to adjust taxes until the turn AFTER entering the Classical.

I have entered the classical era and still cannot change policies or taxes. (Note: my game is heavily moded, I will post a mod list at request)
