Again you're thinking of stereotypes... I'm italian, my parents are both from the south, I'm probably whiter than you, I have black eyes and hair, but my beard is red. Greeks-Italians look alike. Italians and Greeks have a saying: "Stessa faccia, stessa razza": it means "Same face, same race", acknowledging that all Mediterraneans share some common culture and traits. Oh, the biggest difference there really is, is the nose, Roman nose and Greek, but because of Magna Grecia, y'know, a lot of people from the south have a Greek nose. My mother has a Greek nose, I have a Roman one.
And your "typical American" descends from Europe, where the Romans spread their genes all around... White people looks like white people...
We can distinguish people from where they are from by looking at them, there are charts and pictures that prooves this. The biggest argument is the voices, this mod captures the elements of the present day Italian army, but still it sounds like they are all Nato soldiers because of their fluent American-English voices.
About the faces and skin tones, they are somewhat important too. The Roman nose, eyebrows, skin tone, eyes and hair and probably more is visibly different in Italy in comparison to Germany, Russia and Spain. I as a Norwegian have Germanic traits because Norwegians comes from central europe. Why don't we usually have greek or roman noses? Because in central europe during the Roman period, there were most likely mixing with Polish and French people who have different traits too, making our looks distinguishable than old Europeans looked like if they had not mixed.
I will no longer continue answering replies related to my suggestion, it doesn't need to be taken seriously as it is 100% the developers who implement stuff. I will ofc continue if you wish to keep discussing the matter.
Good day to you.
But yeah our genetic pool is much broader than northerners, Italy is the "port of europe", we have many origins... Saracens conquered us, Normans, the French, the Spanish... By my father side, my granmother was blue eyed, blonde and tall, so were most of her sons, all my uncles carried those traits to a degree. And they were from the south, Campania!
Genetics is intresting stuff
You are right, we are all mixed because of invasions, immigration in the past etc. But i must agree about the AAF/FIA voices with the heavy accents, they would fit much more.
Awensome that your uncles came from Campania, it's cool city made partially on the mountain.
If some of you is able and is willing to help creating Italian voices or just willing to help us with some stuff let us know in the comments or contact us directly on our new discord channel.
