Ceilings have different thickness. I need to define snap points for those.

Yeah, not sure if this is intentional, but if it is, I would appreciate a config to disable it:

This breaks balance to the game as now you can build a base that only exists in the sky. The problem comes from building foundations on foundations then removing the lower foundations.

This isn't so much a bug but a major nuisance. When upgrading foundations, The default is for the new foundation to snap up/down/halfway. The hardest thing to do is to actually upgrade. Can the default be made to snap to the origional and you have to force look up/down/or sideways? It's like all of the snap points show up with the slightest of looks. If I am center looking at a foundation to replace, it should just replace it. If I look up, snaps up. If I look down, snaps down and same for side snapping. It's like the center target area needs to be bigger.

Otherwise, thanks so much for this mod. I am finding very useful and the simple plug and play I really like. No extra parts, no engrams, Simple :)

@Chief the snap points technique in ark is a mess. this mod is work in progress, so the feedback from the community is always welcome and i take care of it, if it makes sense.

At the bottom of the large storage box on the very edge, there is a vertical plank built into it. The small storage box snaps to the inner side of this plank, so the small storage box is inside the large storage box. Also, I tried to overcome this by taking the mod out of my server for a minute to place the storage box free-hand, but it kept trying to snap even with the mod unloaded.

@Grebog,

I am so sorry about the dev kit. I know it can be buggy.

I cannot, however, conitnue using this mod untill the replacing/upgrading foundations snap points get fixed. We are blowing thru too many resources trying to upgrade bases on our maps. Ghosting, crouching or prone position gives me no better options.

However, never had this problem upgrading foundations without this mod. The default snap point was almost always the origional foundation. Not above it and not beside it which is where all your snap points 95% of the time are. I cannot fault any other option or additions from your mod to the game. It is only the foundation upgrading snap points. It's like stacking them is the default point. I want to force look up to pull the foundation up or look left/right to side snap. Lemme know when this is fixed and I will gladly put it back on as a regular mod.

Thank you for the hard work thus far!

@Chief i am just working on the snap points system of my mod and found a nasty bug. i am testing the bug fix, but it will take some time. please be patient.

No worries, Thank you

Update V0.97 resulted in 100% CPU usage and major lag. So laggy that we removed the mod. Works perfectly without the mod... not sure if it's the mod that is causing this, will test when there are less players on. But disabling this mod solved this issue.

INI-settings used:
[BuildersImprovements] NumberOfStructures=8 PreventFreeFloors=true

@Arksanity Admin: i had seen this issue with other mods too. after restarting all went fine. i do not know if it has something to do with the new Ark singleton objects in the dev kit. would you please test it again and give me feedback?

I do always a lot of tests with my mods with different environments (server, single player etc.), and if all went fine i put the mod online to public. But there are thousands of servers with thousands of configurations out there, so there is no guarantee for running always without issues.

Re-added the mod now, no problems. I guess last night was just a fluke. Never had this issue before, so I automatically thought it was the mod that did it, due to it being the reason for server restart.

However. Those hours without this mod, players noticed how much better placing foundations was without it. We will sadly not be adding this mod again, everyone voted against it... :(

Still a great mod! Love most of the snap points that are added! Perhaps you could make some sort of Builder's Gloves that you have to wear to use the snap points?
Grebog  [developer] 28 Mar, 2017 @ 12:58am
The additional snap points on foundations are really annoying, because the snap point system in ark is crap. I will build in an ini entry to disable the upper and lower snap points of the foundations. It is not possible to switch them on runtime like you mentioned.

Can't get foundations to stack anymore? It's the main reason I'm using this mod
