Turret Deployment Vehicle (TDV)
More compact design idea?
What if you used a projector, welder and merge block as to just automatically produce them instead of having to carry extra weight and have a really big platform to do so? (it looks badass none the less :] )

That would work, but it doesn't seem very realistic to just print turrets. I'm not sure the welder area would cover the whole turret either?

hm... yeah I guess... maybe a piston to kind of extend it out as it builds?

I think that is possible, maybe if we switch the rear structure into an assembly line, with a piston that extends the turret through it and drops it at the end, but it would need bigger space

in theory, this could be done in a 3x5 area:
Turret welded onto merge block.
Merge block disconnects, turret held in place by landing gear
Landing gear unlock
Piston extends
New turret ready for printing

What if it picked them up from a turret production plant?

Right now for whatever reason you can't weld merge blocks onto merge blocks or connectors onto connectors.

I see, thank you. I hope eventually you can, and you make an even cooler version with that. x)

I agree with this idea
