Add this. The way it is. Maybe a bit of color work, but the model.. Add it into the game. Now. I will buy it immediately.
A game - especially a sci-fi combat game - has to have a balance between realism and sci-fi. It's already ridiculous enough that this far in the future, where we have warframes and the entire solar system colonized, that we're still using glaives, swords and daggers. They have to be interesting or otherwise it's just boring compared to everything else.
And regardless of Genre, it's still a video game. If weapons were meant to look practical, we wouldn't have greatswords in the game at all.
