CONNECTION INFO

We have a few options for connecting to our servers.

Option 1: Search for "Voltage Gaming" in the unofficial server listing in ark

Option 2a (Ragnarok): Use this IP directly 199.241.140.191:17116. To use this, go to your steam client and in the top left click on "View" > "Servers" > "Favorites" > "Add A Server." In the text box just put in the IP address and port number just like up above then press "Add This Address To Favorites." Once that's done you should see it in the "Favorites" tab. Now go into the Ark client and search for your favorites and it'll pop up

RULES

Here at Voltage Gaming we’re interested in keeping the gameplay fair and entertaining for everyone. We want to try and prevent the many problems people have with the Official servers. Such as one huge tribe systematically destroying everyone, resource blocking, and killing new players/tames. This makes people leave and eventually leads to the death of a server. Below are the set of rules to try and keep the idea of competitive fun alive.

Instant ban for the following:

  • Using Hacks
  • Using Bots
  • Using Exploits

Everyone is held to a 3 strike system - First offense will be a verbal warning to the individual. Second offense will be a Verbal warning to the individual and the Tribe. Third Offense will warrant a decision made by an admin for punishment based on the offenses

  • No Base Raids On Weekdays - In the interest of keeping this server PvP oriented without the limits of a PvE/PvP cycle all forms of PvP are allowed, unless otherwise stated in the rules below, except for base raiding. Please limit all base raiding to the weekends when most players are able to play. This is not to say that you can't destroy structures, or even bases, that are blocking resources, caves, or supply drops
  • No Inappropriate Survivor Names/Tribe Names/Dino Names – This includes, but is not limited to, hate speech, derogatory terms, and racist remarks - Any names found to be a breach of this rule by an admin will be asked to change the name within 24 hours, if this is not done you will be given a strike
  • No Griefing – Things such as keeping a player locked in a cage for more than an hour, placing structures for no other purpose than to disallow building there, surrounding a base with turrets/dinos/spike walls/ etc. Unless otherwise for a tactical advantage/staging area during a siege and when the siege is over it must all be taken down
  • Pillar Spamming - If you pillar spam an area you intend to build on you have 48 hours to build, any area that is not built on the pillars will be removed by an admin and you will gain a strike. Please note this is not limited to just pillars
  • No Blocking Obelisks or Artifact Caves – Allow access to the obelisk itself and any resources around them. Artifact caves can be built in, but you cannot block access to the artifacts
  • No Spamming Chat, No Racist Comments
  • No Unneccesary Destruction - Do not destroy any base structures (Foundations/walls/ceilings) of another player/tribe unprovoked. Raiding is permitted, which means breaking a wall/ceiling here or there to enter/traverse a base is allowed. Dino's, Crafting stations and Storage units are NOT protected by this rule. The ONLY EXCEPTION to this rule is in cases where you want to base in a spot taken by someone else.
  • Do Not Kill New Players – Give new players a chance. This is the only way our community will grow and keep the game entertaining. Help any new players if you can. An exception to this rule is when a new player attacks you
  • No Holding A Tribe Down – Do not sit outside of a tribes base and prevent them from entering/exiting their base. The exception is when you are sieging their base

These rules are a living document and subject to change without warning - All rules when changed will be posted in General chat and on Discord. If you have any questions or concerns about the rules contact an admin

ADMIN RULES

Admins play by the same rules as you and will be punished just like a regular player. Below are a set of standards for any Admin playing.

  • Console Commands Will NEVER Be Used For Personal Gain/Use, Or For Anyone Else’s Use/Gain.
  • All Admin Actions Will Be Transparent And Honest. Command Logging Is ALWAYS On
  • Favoritism Is Not Allowed. All Players Will Be Treated Equally.
  • Admins Will NOT Be Abusive Regardless Of The Situation
  • Admins Will Fix Glitched Dinosaurs And Any Loss Of Items From Glitches (Such As Falling Through The Ground) If, And ONLY If, Proof Is Provided.

  • Q: Will The Server Ever Be Wiped?
  • A: Absolutely Not. The Only Time A Wipe Will Happen Is If It's Required By The Game, Or If A Very Large Majority Of Players Desire It. This Isn’t Something That’s Taken Lightly

  • Q: I Was Playing On Another Server And The Admin Just Gave Up/Stopped Paying – Will That Happen Here?
  • A: No. This Server Is Planned To Be Running For A Long Time!

  • Q: Will There Be Admin Abuse?
  • A: ABSOLUTELY Not. Admin Command Logging Will ALWAYS Be On. - There is currently a problem with this that is being worked on

Gather: 3x (1.5x additional for dinos because they do 80% damage)

Downloads Disabled (teleporter mod makes transmitter obsolete)
Slightly adjusted player stats per point
