Before that specific test it is stupid for me to look for errors, because conan is very different in the way mods work together. But now you finally answered my question - nice.
Before I respond with my result I want to tell you two more things that are important.
1st) Who is right or not does not matter to me at all - thats just childish and nonsense. I'm not "old"... but too old for unproductive stuff like that. Before you pretend to be right, simply follow the things that I tell you, if you don't want to follow the "rules" of posting a bug.
2nd) You did not even read how to post a bug. Now opening a discussion too.. that are things that get me hostile. It is interesting that people are not willing to read the mod description, to look for informations, before posting bugs/problems.. that would save everyone so much time - even tho I answered you every time (like I do with all others) and now responding to this discussion.
Now my result:
After you gave me the reason to look for errors in the mod, I found the tiny error that was causing this. So there will be a fix. I'll announce now the upcoming release for tomorrow.
If you want to test it before, you can find it here:
https://www.file-upload.net/download-13671271/Pickup.pak.html
Edit: I'll lock this thread after the release tomorrow. So you are able to respond if needed or wanted.
You already had all the other information that you ask for in your bug template because I had been talking with you. So I just got straight to the point of how to reproduce the bug so you could and see there was an issue.
You can test your mod just as easily as anyone using it to see if it has a bug
You had multiple people tell you there may be something wrong with your mod however you chose to just dismiss them instead of looking into it yourself when after I finally got things set up it took me all of 10 min to find the problem.
When you say things like "Who is right or not does not matter to me at all - thats just childish and nonsense." and "" I will report back once I have figured it out so that you can maybe fix it or inform people they will have an issue if they use said mod." <- Also no... I can't fix compatibility issues (it is as compatible as it can be)." you sound hostile.
I said I was right the first time just meaning my first guess was right because I had speculated the second time we spoke that it may be a mod compatibility issue because I did not think there was an issue with your mod. Once again I had not had a chance to test it yet. It wasn't a whole "I was right you were wrong" thing. It was a "I was wrong thing". As for your other comment, a simple "great man thanks for looking into this let me know what you find" would have been fine or even an "ok sounds good" but you didn't even seem like you cared to post on your mod page if I had found an incompatibility issue.
And this whole freaking time all I have been trying to do was be kind and help you out even offering up my test server if you needed it. But whatever I'm not looking to get into some stupid internet feud. Good luck to you m8 I wish you the best with your mod and thank you for making it.
This is no internet feud from my side, otherwise I wouldn't post the fix before the "official release" to give you the possibility to test it. And (but you can't know) I wouldn't have spend 1hr only to get the devkit work and to be able to get into that problem. In total I spent 1 1/2hrs sitting in front of my desk with 34°C in this room ;-)
If you posted the bug report template with the first post you did in the comments, you would have tested the "Pickup+ only option" directly. I would have known from the start, that Pickup+ only is causing the problem too, what would lead into investigation from my side. The whole thing would be solved in just 2 Posts... one (the bugreport template) from you and the answer with the result from me - thats what I ment!
Others with this problem reported that they fixed it with the first solution I gave you - so it should be understandable that I have to assume, that this problem is not pickup+ related and may be caused by mod compatibility. And you use many mods!
As long as other mods are activated, it is not worth testing (you can see this point different, but I need to take time for stuff like that and time is limited). Thats why the bugreport template exists - it saves time. And if you thought I make money with this mod and just be lazy -> I do not. From the beginning until now: 0€ ! But I said this mod will be free - so its fine.
It is totaly okay if you havn't been able to test the fix - I just thought that this could be some offer to you and to show, that I really just want to help.
Just don't take everything so negative. You can't read how people mean something and not everybody is bad these days.
Even my answer here was not ment to be negative, im just honest and direct - thats my person :-)
Good luck to you too!
Hopefully everything works now like expected.
Have a great day/weekend!
I'll close this discussion since it is solved and you answered oghentai420, too - thanks for that!!
