skip kowloon armor entirely just use the set you get from the quest that gives you the shushan token until you get the ice flame set. You can get there pretty easily using random armor pieces until you can farm kowloon a couple of times and use double bite heart/upgraded version to sustain if you can dodge all the boss spells.
