How do settings affect which civs and city-states get placed where?
Thank you for your mod, I have been playing it for years.

I am a little confused at the logic of some of the civ/city-state starting locations.

For city-states, I have been playing with all civ and 60 city-states on the Giant Earth map. It doesn’t do 60 for fairly understandable reasons, but pre GS, I seem to recall it would randomize which city states would appear and now I just get the same city-states on every draw. I have tried AI, city-state, and everybody mandatory TSL but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Did you change this with the update or how can I better manipulate which city-states appear in the game?

To give you a couple examples:
1.) La Venta and the other one that used to appear in the Yucatan. I want those for an Aztec playthrough but haven’t seen them since the update. Meanwhile I have 5 city states in the Amazon that I don’t need.

2.) When playing in East Asia, I prefer to have Hong Kong, Singapore, etc but have been getting one random city-state in the middle of China that messes everything up for everybody else.

3.) Playing as Rome - Bologna is coming up every time and is now just in the way.

What are the optimal settings # of Civs + # of City-States to at least get a random seed or how else can I manipulate the map to get the right spawns I am going for for my particular game.

Novare, I had similar experience after using GS. I think most of the city-states (CS) TSL are ok. Previously in one of the comments/query, Gedemon mentioned that the reason for some CS on different location is due to similar city names used in the script. For example, Bandar Brunei pops up in Indian Continent but when you view the CS name in the TOP right CS Panel, it shows as Jakarta. Previously Jakarta TSL was same as Indonesia and with inclusion of Indonesia Civ, Jakarta TSL is out of TSL. Not sure how to remedy this problem as changes to CS name may conflict with the base game name/s and may cause the game to crash. I overcome this problem using the Worldbuilder (WB)...ie when I see CS pop up in wrong location, I remove those CS from the game using the WB. Just wish that Developer or maybe modder develop a mod which will enable player to select the CS just like pre- selecting the Civilisation in the startup menu.

Thank you! I honestly didn't know WB was something we could switch on until reading mod threads last night. I will play with it that way for the meantime. Do you know if you can add a new city state in WB after the initial load or just delete or move the ones that are there?
