Yet (not) Another Maps Pack breaks the game when creating new games
Here is the video of my problem: https://youtu.be/LbKKSWJzE7U With this mod enabled when i create a new game it breaks the game by having all choices go blank or be empty. With the mod off after restart the game is fine. Something is wrong post the October 2020 update!

Lua Log file (not working when mod is on): https://pastebin.com/4waLfrWS

Lua Log File: (not working when disabled mod ingame) https://pastebin.com/WLiBBF5D

Lua Log file (working when mod is disabled on start up): https://pastebin.com/fepiCwtw

1) It looks like my game functions properly with all the mods off.
2) but i couldn't get it to work originally because when i play the game i like to use the "Yet (not) Another Maps Pack" extra big earth maps since civ6 doesn't do that. :(
3) So i'll start a new game and enable this mod and go about playing the game and everything is fine. But the problem is that when i exit out of the game and come back to it a couple hours later and start up and decide to CREATE A NEW GAME this mod is on and it messes civ 6 up and all choices are blank.I have to disable the mod and completely exit the game and restart to be able to have choices again and it not be empty.
4) If i come back and instead play SAVED GAMES with the mod on the game works fine as far as i can tell.

So it appears something with this mod on is messing the game up for creating new games only!

Same error here. I noticed you also downloaded the mod from github. My guess would be that the github repository is not up to date. The last commit there is from August. I can't test the steam version though, since I bought the game through the epic store.

Yeah, so I found a website where you can download steam workshop mods and with the steam version this error does not occur.

What do you mean steam version? All i've ever used has been steam, i got this thru the steam workshop. Within Steam>Go to Library>select civ 6> below the play button there is store page | community hub | Points Shop - (go over to Workshop) click on it, then type the name of the mod and here i am.

The log you provided suggests that a version of the mod is installed in your user directory that was downloaded from github. So to get the newest, working version, try the following:
1. Go to the mod page and click the subscribe button (if you haven't already).
2. Wait for steam to download the mod.
3. Delete the folder "C:\Users\Owner\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Mods\Civ6-YnAMP-master"
4. Start the game and look if you can setup a game now.

Hope that helps.

So... did you fix it? How did you fix it if it's the case. I'm having the exact same issue (I have the Epic games version btw - which I'm kind of regretting now..)

There are tools that download mods from the steam workshop for you. I am not sure if I should link one in the steam forums but if you google "steam workshop downloader" it should be in the top 3. Either that or ask a friend that owns the game on steam to get the mod for you.
