The Dialogue should still work; try saving next to Notch then loading that save.
If that doesn't work, you can press the ~ key and type: player.setstage mcq02 30
Was the fight too hard? Too easy?
Notch's speech is set to go by based on you clicking to see the next line. Barring that, there should be ample time.
Both the Ender Dragon and Herobrine are default spawns. Due to many similar complaints, that will most likely change circa 1.7
The Quest Order thing should have been fixed.... in what order did you do the Quests and turn in?
The last problem will be fixed by later today
As to the quest, I made sure to get the herobrine quest from Notch, then killed him without fighting the Ender Dragon (no small feat as he flies ALL OVER THE DAMN PLACE)(he may have gotten into combat with guards, tho), then got the Ender dragon quest, then killed the Ender Dragon. Ender dragon does his Alduin impersonation (note that I haven't killed Alduin yet, if that's the issue) and fades, but I don't get the "Completed: slay the Ender Dragon" "return to Notch" notices, nor does the quest marker leave from where the ender dragon faded from.
Glad to hear that the last problem is done with tho.
I'll test it out, see what the problem is... The only bug I've encountered along those lines was with Leonidas and that was fixed. Did you try reloading?
Did you turn in the Herobrine quest before starting "The End?" Even so, the problem seems to be linked with the on-death script of the Ender Dragon. I'll check it out.
So your exact order was:
Get 1st quest -> Killed Herobrine -> Turned in / Started 2nd Quest -> Killed Ender Dragon ?
Just tested the whole questline and the only lines that seemed to be doing what you describe are the 2 last ones of each quest, and the dialogue in those aren't really important. So reloading didn't work....
This may seem wacky, but it may be the problem. When you're at the load screen (Play, Settings, Data Files, etc.) try waiting there and having all your mods update. It may be that it's not in the latest Update.
