Can we rebel in 3.9.5 ?

I saw the pendor wiki page about starting a new faction and there they say that you need to conquer a castle or city beeing a freelancer.
What about turning into a rebel vassal and keeping your fiefs ?
Is possible or they disabled this option ?

Take ur first castle as a freelancer as in not under contract for anyone, and just start ur own kingdom. Boom, rebel faction to all the other factions. Good luck.
