Battle stutter, any fixes?
Really hoping someone can talk me through a potential list of fixes as pulling my hair out. Running 1070ti/2600x/16gb Ram... Anything over 120 battle size has a micro stutter every couple of seconds. Tested a 400 battle in native and its buttery smooth.. FPS stays high but still stutters in pendor.

Things I have tried:

- Setting high priority CPU
- Every graphics setting going
- Forcing single thread
- disabling load on demand textures
- disabling sound variety
- running dx7

I am on windows 10 if that makes a difference.. My old rig could run it no issues.

You tried every graphics setting on lowest/off position and still stuttering? If so, sounds like CPU bottlenecking which makes little sense to me considering it is top of the line. Wish I could help you, maybe someone else will have a good suggestion.

Unfortunately this may happen on some of the newest hardware combinations. You can have NASA computer and the game will shutter whatever you do. After all it is 10 years old engine stretched to the maximum, especially on the CPU side.
Try version 3.611 from ModDB.

Maybe try to switch off CPU hungry features in the Camp Many e.g. formations, horse archers AI.

Happens on my machine too, after about 1 hour or more of gameplay. It will eventually get to barely crawling.. and then probably freezing and crashing the game. It's a bug. It doesn't happen with other mods.

Well you haven't exactly proved it happens in other mods. Warband has memory leak and does not utilize CPU properly.

Warband has well know memory leak - the longer is given play session the slower it will be. Or if too many reloads. Restart the game if become too slow.

Try to set the max FPS to 120 in the launcher settings

Not sure if this will help, but my battles were reaching 3FPS until I disabled Superfetch on my PC. Now it runs smoothly with High Shadows.
